I took a trip into Dublin city a couple of days ago to take some photos. I did the loop – O’Connell Street, Henry Street, Temple Bar and then up to Grafton Street. The sun was out so there was plenty of shadows to capture. Reflections were also eye catching.
Came across a busker who could play his guitar behind his back, Jimmy Hendrix eat your heart out!
After snow two days ago, it was nice to get out in the sunlight. Came across these wonderful trees and had to photograph them. Full of character and yes I can see faces.
A little while ago we had some snow, which is a big deal in Ireland. The east and south east were most affected. It was coined the “Beast from the East” and it forced schools to close en masse and some employers had to shut down their premises as employees couldn’t get to work.
I loved it.
Ballymun’s finest acts took to the big stage yesterday. Included in the line up were Dextra, Cale Smith, Ciara Lennon, Rachel McCormack, Pat Deenan and the Innocents.
Pictured below are Dextra who played great upbeat pop music in keeping with the weather.
I am a subscriber to Jared Polin on YouTube. He was giving a review about the Sony A9. He challenged his followers to download his raw file to see how impressive it was and to make tweaks to it as needed.
The picture below captures a scene with a sports broadcaster commenting on a soccer game in a booth overlooking the stadium. The camera was able to capture both detail in the highlights (in the stadium) and the shadows (inside the booth) despite there being such a large difference in the exposure between them.
This is Jared’s original file with no adjustments.
Here is my edit to Jared’s file (slight teak)
I use Nikon equipment but Sony have been making great advancements in camera technology. I will have to watch this closely.
I took a few pictures of my two nephews Robert and Gavin who were going to the Debs. Great style and excitement. Robert is pictured directly below with Clara.
